Englond is the combination of the words “England London”. The traditional English educational system has been admired by generations of Chinese people and England is perceived by Chinese people as being the place from which the best education system comes. Due to the enormous economic success in China in recent years, the demand for high quality early years educational services has never been higher. Englond strives to be the leader in child-care services bringing together experts in this field from all over the world and providing professional and first class services.

History:

In 2007: Hangzhou Englond Investment and Management Co. was set up as a Sino-English joint venture by two educational-services management companies: Anglia Scholars Educational Consultancy Ltd. (www.angliascholars.co.uk) and Zhejiang University TEFL Educational Management Co. with a view to introducing advanced child-care curriculum, teaching methods, and management system to Chinese kindergartens for children aged 2-6 years old.

In 2008: Its first directly-owned nursery, Hangzhou Englond Nursery, was acquired and opened. It has now reached its full capacity with about 250 children.

In 2009: Englond International Nursery Association was set up to foster international nursery education, educational and cultural links between nurseries and kindergartens of different countries, and promote all ancillary and related objectives. It is a platform for international nurseries to share teaching experience and resources. Since its inception, more than 50 member nurseries have joined this Association.

In 2010: Together with a famous Chinese Venture Capital Trust (Zhejiang University Enterprise Investment Co.), Hangzhou Englond Investment and Management Co. set up Zhejiang Englond Educational Technology Co., which will act as a vehicle to take over or participate in successful existing nurseries and to invest directly in brand-new nurseries.

In 2011: Hangzhou Englond Investment and Management Co. owns 10 Englond nurseries in different parts of China.

Requirements:

We require outgoing and enthusiastic English teachers to work in those nurseries both boys and girls aged from 2-6 years starting in February or September each year.

The principle responsibilites are:

  • To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with your team
  • To keep daily/weekly records of the children and work in partnership with the parents
  • To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nurseries

Qualifications, training and experience:

The qualifications required are:

  • Graduates or students of early-year/childhood/education degree courses
  • Native English Speaker with TEFL/ESL qualification
  • Previous experience of working with children (not essential but preferred)

Description:

Our children expect to attend classes:

  • That are active and interesting with a focus on child-centred activities
  • That provide them with lots of opportunities to practice speaking
  • That help them to increase their active vocabulary by using relevant and interesting materials
  • That help them to build their confidence to speak English
  • That help them use useful language to communicate rather than memorize language for tests

Our children expect their teacher:

  • to be outgoing, humorous and to enjoy teaching
  • to have a clear accent and to be professional (well dressed, punctual and well prepared for class)
  • to be friendly, helpful and to care about their progress as individuals
  • to prepare an interesting and lively class by preparing a variety of activities
  • to plan and implement interactive classes that facilitate active participation by the children
  • to give focused and useful feedbacks on their English and on their class performance
  • to be familiar with basic classroom management techniques such as, monitoring, giving feedback, using the whiteboard effectively, teaching vocabulary, correcting mistakes, giving clear instructions and explanations

Duties:

The duties of our English Teachers include:

  • Teaching hours: 25 hours per week
  • Deliver child-centred classes
  • Attend promotional workshops
  • Utilize the teaching materials effectively

The emphasis is on motivating the children and making the learning of English an enjoyable experience.

Benefits:

The Benefits currently include:

  • Monthly Salary from RMB5,000 depending on qualifications and working experience [about RBM10 = £1]
  • Return air ticket reimbursed for one-year contract and half air ticket reimbursed for half-year contract
  • Free accommodation and meals (except dinner) during contract period
